A new report claims that Warner Bros is planning a live-action Blair house movie.
The news comes just a few days after Warner Bros confirmed that Tom Cruise would reprise his role as the title character of the film, which is being written by Steven Spielberg.
A Warner Bros spokesperson confirmed the report.
“Tom Cruise will be reprising his role in Blair’s story, and we have no further comment at this time,” the spokesperson told Variety.
Blair is a young, blonde, middle-class Australian woman who is raised by her adoptive father, a wealthy businessman.
In the story, Blair works in a grocery store, but eventually moves to the house owned by her adopted mother, who is a rich, successful businessman.
Blairs father, however, has problems with the wealthy businessman’s daughter and Blairs best friend, who are both in love with her father.
Blaire’s relationship with her adoptive mother is complicated.
In her original script, Blaire was described as a young girl who wants to be rich and famous, but finds that the wealthy man she is meant to be marrying, Joe, is a bit of a jerk.
“Blaire is a woman who has been raised in an environment that sees her as nothing more than a sex object,” wrote co-writer Andrew Lichtman.
“She also is the product of a deeply flawed, but ultimately successful, family.
All this leaves her in a position where she cannot have the best life she could have without a father who would not let her go.
She must make do with what she has.”
