The Brieber family has a history of being outspoken and controversial.
After their daughter was killed in a car accident, their son Justin Bieber was arrested for driving under the influence, and the family has been embroiled in lawsuits over the years.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, producer Brian Bell said the Briebers are now “moving on” after a “dramatic and shocking” turn in the family’s first film, Full House.
“I think that was the first time we saw it that way, and we’re just kind of going on our merry way,” Bell said.
“It’s just a great time for us, and it’s just been a very rewarding, interesting journey.”
Bell is set to direct the musical adaptation of the family drama, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Adam Driver, Dax Shepard, and Brieberg.
The film will star the family as they deal with a family tragedy.
Bell said he was inspired by the Biebers’ willingness to speak out against the death of their daughter, who was killed while driving drunk in 2008.
“Justin was always going to be a lightning rod for his family’s views and his views of the world, but we’re so grateful that he has a voice,” Bell told THR.
“I just feel like he’s done a great job, and I think we can all take solace in the fact that he’s going to have that voice.”
